Expansion Plans?
A new locatoin on the North side, has just been opened. We bought out Factory Card Outlet, we also own Halloween City, and Party America. There are over 600 company-owned and franchise stores throughout the United States and Puerto Rico.
Employability Skills?
Just like at McKeel, Party City expects only the best from their employees. Responsibility is a big thing, they need to be able to trust you, especially if you're working the registers. Also, they need to know you'll treat the customers with the upmost care.
Average Salary?
General Managers make anywhere around 60,000 a year. As for everyday employees, they only make minimum wage, and hope for any raise that may come along.
Technology?
At Party City they use all kinds of technology. For one the use the registers, along with telephones. The neatest thing to me was the gun. It checks prices for you, tell you how many of that item we have on hand, and numerous other things.
Social Skills?
In order to work there you have to be personable, friendly, outgoing and have good customer service skills.
What I liked best was being able to help the customers find what they came in for!
What I didn't like so much was labeling and down-stocking the isles!
Would I pursue a career with Party City?
